Deep 4 Compilation Released This WeekBy: Sue Hardee
Deep 4, a compilation introducing 17 new artists, is now available. As the name suggests, this is the 4th compilation of its kind. Its predecessors are responsible for uncovering some of the hottest talent in the industry today. Notably, Deep 1 included
Marcy Playground's hit "Sex and Candy" long before it was ever heard on the radio. Deep 2 and Deep 3 featured
Five For Fighting,
Sister Hazel, and
Butch Walker before they hit the Billboard charts. Deep 4 promises to continue in these illustrious footsteps.
With today's diverse music audience in mind, Deep South has formulated a lineup with something for everyone. Deep 4 showcases the music of singer/songwriters,
Mayu Wakisaka and
Alejandro from California, as well as a hard-rock's
F.H.O.D. from Chicago, Illinois, and indie selections
J-Minus and
I Was Totally Destroying It. Country artist,
Katie Austin, is featured from Nashville and
Ian Sloane from L.A. provides a taste of hip-hop. Deep 4 also reaches out to
Hard Ball Classics from Switzerland and
Nora from Iceland.
Deep South has a proven record of success and a keen ear for popular talent. When asked about the nearly 10 year hiatus between Deep 3 and Deep 4, Deep South owner Andy Martin responded enthusiastically, "We just got busy over the years managing Grammy winning, multi-platinum, and Oscar nominated music groups, but now we have finally taken the time to return to where it all began - discovering new talent!" With almost a decade of working with key talent, honing its already considerable skills, Deep South is proud to return to its roots with the release of Deep 4. Deep South knows this album will make a mark on today's diverse music scene.
