Jason Michael Carroll, local NC musician and winner of Raleigh's "Gimme the Mike" reality television series, debuted his "Waitin' in the Country" album at #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Charts! The self penned hit single from the album, Alyssa Lies, has been on Billboard's Hot Country Song list for 21 weeks peaking (as of today) at #6.
The album was released on February 6, 2007, by Arista Records.
That's 2, count'em 2 local North Carolinians on The Billboard 200 top 10 list right now: Chris Daughtry at #3 and Jason Michael Carroll at #8. NC Represent!!
